Green? or Blue? Choose the Best for You

Epi-Green Epi-Blue
Optimal for EtBr, but bright enough for SYBR*, too. Optimal for SYBR, but bright enough for EtBr, too.
Ultra-bright green LEDs provide greater contrast
and sensitivity than standard 8W UV tubes.
Ultra-bright blue LEDs are comparable to 365nm or
weak 312nm UV tubes.

· Epi-Green Pro
The wide coverage 14x12cm, removable gel tray (included) makes visualization and band excising of EtBr-stained gels very easy.
The filter plate allows viewing, excising, and photography without goggles.

Figure 1 is an EtBr-stained gel taken with a digital camera through the viewing filter of Epi-Green Pro. You get an image with high contrast and low background.

GR Red Loading Buffer was added the sample before electrophoresis, illuminated with Epi-Green Pro, and imaged with a standard gel-doc system. The gel was not stained after electrophoresis. High sensitivity detection is possible even without using a high-cost filter on the digital camera.

Adjustable Light Arrays let you
maximize light intensity for your samples

Light arrays go as low as 2 cm, and as high as 15 cm.

The base is 31x31cm, and fits inside the optional hood.

Use Epi-Quad to study plant ecophysiology. Chlorophyll is fluorescent. The fluorescent light emitted from plant samples has a longer wavelength than the light absorbed by those samples. With Epi-Quad and a long-pass filter,
you can measure intensity levels of the emitted light. This allows you to investigate plant ecophysiology and stress.

UV Protection with Sharp Cut-off Goggles, available in 8 Colors!

With fluorescence, the optimal combination of viewing filter and excitation wavelength is critical to obtaining the best results.

These goggles have the characteristics of a sharp cut-off long-pass filter, so you get high-contrast fluorescence observation.

They also cut more than 99.9% of the UVC - UVA (190 ~ 400nm) spectrum, so they are safe to use not only with our Epi-illuminators, but with a UV transilluminator, too!

Available in eight different colors, including clear cut-off.
Also available in over-glasses clip-on style.
